This is a recording of the first public presentation the Dion Systems team did, presenting our initial 8 months of research. In this time, we experimented with writing a prototype programming environment that operated off of code that is stored as something closer to an abstract-syntax-tree representation (although still being very different from those that you'd normally find in a compiler codebase), instead of as plain text. It was our first glimpse into the space of possibilities that arise when a few key assumptions about programming environments are tweaked.
